Michael F. Marks Mike grew up hunting the rolling hills and farmlands of southwestern Pennsylvania, an area that he continues to call home. Although small game was abundant, spring turkey hunting in the early years required traveling great distances to the mountains of north central Pennsylvania to experience the early morning thrill of the gobbler’s awakening. Times have changed, and very much for the better. Due to successful restoration efforts, the wild turkey has, over the last 15 years become common in the local area. This has made it possible for him to hunt turkey virtually every day of the season. Spending time in the spring woods before starting work. What a great way to begin the day!
