This call is said to be the first long box which Neil referred to as a Boat Paddle call.  Its history is quite storied.  It was used on the Mike Douglas show, November 1980 with Hank Williams, Jr., and was signed on the opposite soundboard in 1980 at the Florida chapter of NWTF state convention by archery legend Fred Bear.  The inscription on the bottom indicates that it was a "copy of a call made by Walter Winterbottom - Eminence Missouri, November 1979."  The red cedar came from a 150-year-old log harvested from Unicoi State Park, Helen, Georgia. Circa 1979.
